The black Yamaha P-143 is a digital piano with features that provide entry-level and beginner players with a satisfying acoustic piano-playing experience in a compact and portable package that takes less space in your room. The P-143 delivers the sound and feel of a traditional grand piano, thanks to its 88 Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) weighted keys, 64-note polyphony, damper-resonance effects, and high-fidelity 2-way speaker system, plus expressive tones from Yamaha's concert grand piano, the CFIIIS.

A collection of 10 sounds with adjustable reverb, 2 voice layers, and split modes to combine sounds, duo mode to practice with a partner, a headphone jack, and USB audio/MIDI interface for connecting to a Mac/Windows computer make the P-143 well-suited for pianists seeking a complete playing experience in limited spaces.

The sound was sampled from a piano with a bright, transparent tone with a spacious treble and an overall sonic feel.

Additionally, the P-143 comes with a damper resonance function that reproduces the rich sound you hear when pressing the damper pedal, creating an even fuller sound. And better yet, since this is a digital piano, it doesn’t require tuning.
